About us

Birtingaholt Retreat is run by a family: Fjóla and Siggi, their son Heimir, and his wife Dagný. We live nearby on a dairy farm where we also run a small contracting business.

Our main focus is farming, but we also have chickens, horses, and our friendly farm dog, Tinni. We love nature, animals, and staying active.

Heimir and Siggi enjoy motorsports and snowmobiling. Siggi also sings in choirs and explores the highlands. Dagný and Siggi ride horses, and Dagný practices yoga — often with Fjóla, who teaches local yoga classes and is also a flower essence master.

We feel lucky to live close to nature and share these passions as a family.
